| To diffuse oils in water, simply light a tea-light candle and place on the candle holder. Add water to the ceramic dish and when the water has warmed add 8-10 drops of essential oil. Top up water / oils as they evaporate. NEVER leave lit candles unattended.
Alternatively unscented soy wax melts make an excellent water replacement as the melts will last for many days or weeks of use, rather than boiling dry within a few hours. To use wax melts as a water replacement, light a candle and place on the raised holder then add 1 - 2 wax melts to the ceramic dish. Once the wax has melted (this doesn't take very long as soy wax has a fairly low melting point) add your essential oils as above. Top up oils as necessary, and allow to set between uses to avoid spills - next time your melt will still retain the scent of the oil, ready for use. To remove an unwanted melt, either pour into a heatproof container when melted, or allow to set and pry wax from the dish with a blade Prescented wax tarts may be used directly in the ceramic dish, removing the need to add oils. Soy melts & Oils available separately. |
